A Slight Change in Plans

First of all, thanks to all of you for the e-mails and phone calls. It’s your support that will help us pull through this. I am overwhelmed by the responses and filled with emotion.

We have decided to hold off on the chemo treatment for a few days until we get some other opinions. We have an additional scan scheduled for Thursday. It’s called a PET Scan and they inject your blood with something that creates or releases positrons. Pretty spacey and high tech. It’s a much higher resolution scan than the cat scan I had last Friday and will provide the baseline for future treatment. Don’t know what it’ll tell us but at least I’ll know if I have any dogs or cats in there.

On the positive side, I did pick up a brochure for a new Corvette. Who knows it might cheer me up…..

A Corvette - make it a red one - that is very cheery!! Keep up the positive attitude and keep getting tested until you like the answers.

I like the idea of getting tests until you like the answers. What do they know anyway! you are a fighter and we need your energy - get the corvette you want that makes you streamin'
hang in there - life is a crap shoot for us all anyway
hugs to you!

I like Leslye's idea - keep getting tests until you get the answers you want! And in the meantime, live live LIVE life to the utmost :-)

Love ya, Dad. We've got a few more of my friends in the know, keeping you in mind!

This is a pretty cheesy way of getting out of doing January IPR reviews in Joliet.

I agree with Leslye as well. Make sure the Vette is a convertible!
Nothing sexier than a bald man in a convertible!! On second thought, buy the vette and loan it to me!!

So sorry to hear the news. We're all here for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help with anything.

As for the the 'Vette...this is excellent...now you and Mark can have drag races down ol' Sunset Terrace!! My money's on you...Mark still can't find the clutch. But watch out if Crystal's behind the wheel...she's a wild woman! ;-)

a corvette? too cool; i'd much rather fall into that seat than climb into that monster truck! i always did like you with the bald head and you never had an issue with mine! i have a nifty spongebob squarepants knit cap you can wear if you really want to be cool!

you have to know how much this has shaken me - but i know you will attack this like all your projects - intensity, focus, perhaps over budget, but you will give it everything you are...and you, as always, seem to have the best people next to you to help get the job done!

i know you know i am on your team and remain under the densmore spell to serve in any capacity!

love to all of you....

I am a friend of Katy's and I hurt when Katy hurts, but I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog.

Kick that Black Bear in the butt, buy the Vette, and keep us all informed of the ride! Prayers every day for you.
