A Beautiful Day

The temperature got into the mid-60’s today after lunch so I got out the mower and cut the grass. It probably didn’t need it. The way I tell is to get on the mower and mow out to the fence. I then turn around and, if I can tell I cut anything, I’m good to go. As you can see in the picture the grass is still pretty dormant.

None-the-less, the sky was blue, there was a light, cool breeze and it was about as good as it gets. Mowing is meditative for me. My mind wanders down a lot of different paths while I mow and today I felt optimistic and upbeat.

While I was mowing I noticed some good fairy had weeded my beds in the back yard. Thank you very much whoever you are and I have my suspicions. That was what I was going to try to do in the morning and it’s nice to have other options.

I continue to be able to eat fairly normally and I feel pretty good (about everything). Thank you all for your support – we can feel it.

Bob,

I sure am sorry that I didn't get a chance to see you glide across your property on your mower, wearing your earphones. That would have been a welcomed sight! Jeff and I are so happy that you're able to eat more. We are very excited about your progress. Keep up the good work!!!!!! Remember "God can do all things! All we have to do is ask."

you look great and that deere is very shiny! bj often wonders why i like to get on the mower and go after it - i, too, think about all kinds of things while i mow - very few problems are solved, but somehow i feel atleast they have received attention. i might have to bring my yardman over and we'll do our own version of mower races! and see if that weed fairy can fly to crosby!

i drove through densmore country the other day - and remembered good times with you during those projects. what respect you have earned by making everyone feel that they have value and worth. you have been and continue to be an inspiration. love, rindy

Bob, I am going to bring your picture to Katy's next section meeting and we'll all do safety observations. Let's see... no steel toes,... no sideshields... I don't know if that's a problem since there doesn't appear to be actual mowing going on. I've been quietly following your blog, but I saw the time to intervene!

Keep up the progress, one day at a time!!!!
